Type of Government
The City of Mena is a Mayor/Council form of government. All government officials are elected. All City officials are elected every two years and must reside inside the City Limits of Mena, Arkansas. The City is divided into three wards with two representatives from each Ward.
The elected officials consist of a Mayor, City Clerk/Treasurer, City Attorney and (6) Alderman. Mena is the County Seat of Polk County, Arkansas.
