Chamber Challenges January 2020- 02


We will be focusing on one Chamber Challenge each month.

We encourage all Chamber members to participate. We want to help our members grow their businesses and learn new ways to reach their customers!

This Month's Challenge is:

Advance Your Knowledge

Using your knowledge to improve your business:

  • Identify market trends. What's selling? What's becoming obsolete?

  • Hire the right people for the job. If you've learned what your customers are looking for, you're able to find the right kind of staff to serve their needs.

  • Use informed, educated staff to train your employees. This shows your employees how valued they are by trusting them with the training of new or under-performing staff.

  • Understanding your customers requirements increases customer satisfaction. When you know what they want, you can deliver.

  • Knowing what your staff and customers need can lead to an increase in the quality of your suppliers. Figuring out what you need for your business can narrow down the types of suppliers you're really looking for.

  • Once you know what you need from your business and how to execute it you can begin to teach others. Be able to sell or license your knowledge to others in an advisory or consultant capacity, but always make sure to protect your intellectual property.

Knowledge should be a top priority for your business:

Your business should focus on knowledge. You and your staff should constantly be learning what you need, the customers need, and how to make it all happen.

Offering incentives to your staff to supply helpful suggestions on improving sales, service, or presentation in your business can create an environment for knowledge to thrive. When your employees know their knowledge is valued and appreciated they are more likely to share it. Using the information your staff provides can help you create better processes to serve your customers.
