Chamber Challenges February 2020- 01


We will be focusing on one Chamber Challenge each month.

We encourage all Chamber members to participate. We want to help our members grow their businesses and learn new ways to reach their customers!

This Month's Challenge is:

Create a Contest or Giveaway

Planning a Contest or Giveaway

Before you start your contest or giveaway you need to answer a few basic questions:

  • When would you like it to run? (ie: certain season, until you get X amount of likes, a certain amount of time, etc.)

  • What is your prize? Do you already own it? Is it swag from another company, is it a product of your own?

  • Will there be a shipping fee for the winner(s)?

  • What is your end goal for this giveaway? (ie: more likes, followers, or subscriptions, bringing attention to a new products)

Once you have these questions answered you can begin creating your giveaway or contest. Knowing your "end goal" will help decide what kind of contest you want to have. There are several different options, and we will go over them all throughout the month. Some of those options are:

  • A Facebook Live

  • Caption This Photo

  • Help Us Name "This"

  • Fill in the Blank

  • Fan of the Week

  • Product/Service Video

  • Submit a Photo

  • Quiz or Trivia

  • Instant (one-click) Entry

  • Q&A

  • Favorite Product

  • Share a Selfie

  • Game or Puzzle

There are so many different and creative ways you can use a contest to drive traffic and engagement on your social media accounts. The most important part is deciding what you want this contest to do for your business. Once you have that in mind, you can create the perfect contest for you and your business.
