As we all begin the new year, let's take a minute to reflect on 2019 and look forward to 2020. The new year can be a exciting time, filled with hope and optimism for all that lies before us. But, if we do not reflect on where we've been, where we are, the lessons of our triumphs and tribulations may lose their value. This is a chance to review what has gone before, what you would like to keep going, and those things you would like to accomplish.
2019 brought about many challenges, and successes, for the Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce. New opportunities presented new challenges. New people, new possibilities, old paradigms, and routines fill the same space demanding that we reconcile the past, present, and future. Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, has been quoted as saying, “Change is the only constant in life.” So, we must embrace this sentiment as we move along this path.
We would like to thank our outgoing Board of Director's members for their tireless, dedicated service the the Chamber and the people of Mena and Polk County. Vicki Agee, Lisa Masters, Jerri McCoy, and Marc Rosson, you are all valued members of our community and will be greatly missed. Thank you all, for all you do! To our new Board of Director's members, we look forward to all the ideas and energy you bring. With Brad Castor, LeAnn Dilbeck, Terri Harrison, and David Maxwell joining the team, the future is bright, exciting, and we can't wait to get started!
It is membership renewal time, at the Chamber. We send heartfelt appreciation to all our Chamber members. You are the very core of this organization and the community. Through your vision, passion, integrity, and daring, you make Mena and Polk County a better place for all fortunate enough to call this beautiful place home. Thank you for your enduring commitment and support! We will strive to bring tools and resources to better serve our Chamber members, in the coming year.
We wish you all visions of great things in the new year. Through hard work and determination, we can set and achieve incredible goals. We would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and are looking forward to a prosperous 2020!
