Create a Knowledge Strategy for your Business
To receive the most from you business' knowledge, you need to form a strategy to find, sort, and share it. To do this you should establish a knowledge strategy, a set of guidelines to be used throughout your business.
To effectively manage this, all of your managers and trainers should be fully aware of and committed to this strategy and how it can help. Have team discussions on how your strategy is working and how to improve it.
If you have a manager or employee who is thoroughly versed and enthusiastic about these processes, give them a position of leadership within your knowledge building team. Having someone ready to improve and enforce these guidelines is an asset you don't want to waste.
When you're creating your Knowledge Strategy these questions may help:
How effective is your business at using its knowledge?
Is your process working?
Does your staff understand the strategy?
Is your strategy set up to evolve efficiently?
Do you have checks and balances set up to make sure every step is working?
Whatever you decide on for your Knowledge Strategy, make sure it works for you and your company. Always continue learning and Advancing Your Knowledge.
