Welcome from the Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce! We are in love with our part of the Natural State which makes us a great first stop on your tour of our neck of the woods. This area gives new meaning to the phrase hidden gem because of the levels of things to discover around here. First off, you can find actual gems here. Our Arkansas red dirt is full of all kinds of sparkling treasures. That’s just the beginning. The scenery around here is hard to beat, especially in autumn. Get up close and personal with our scenery by exploring our trails on a bike or on foot. New trails and other outdoor fun are just on the horizon for the Ouachita Mountains, so you’ll want to stay in touch by joining the Chamber’s newsletter “Chamber Tracks”. If you want a little more adrenaline in your outdoor time, there are great local spots for ziplining and riding ATVs and dirt bikes.

Mena/Polk County is more than just a pretty face. We have depths that show in our ever-growing art community. You can truly find it all here. Painters, musicians, glass workers, potters, and carpenters to name a few. If you can dream it, someone around here can make it whether it’s large or small. Don’t let the small-town fool you, we have big talent in these mountains. Take a walk down Mena Street and find the tip of the artistic iceberg in our Downtown Arts District where we showcase local artwork. Mena Street is where you will find another jewel in our community crown in the form of our delicious restaurants. Our local eateries will remind you why the south is known for mouthwatering food. Unwind after a long day of play by listening to live music in our Entertainment District. Our community works hard to spotlight our local talent all over Polk County so don’t think that Mena Street is where your tour should stop. Take a drive and you will find an embarrassment of riches in this mountain community.

Visiting or relocating, we look forward to meeting you and showing you a part of the world that you will fall in love with just like we did. Stop by our office located in the historic train depot and take the first step in your Ouachita Mountain adventure.
