Established under the Mena Polk County Chamber of Commerce in 2018, the Mena Polk County Chamber of Commerce Foundation's primary objectives are to enhance the quality of life in Mena and Polk County, encourage tourism, support higher education through scholarships, and provide charitable contributions to other local non-profits by hosting community events. Two, one-time scholarships will be awarded. The total value of each scholarship is $1,000.00 and will be awarded to a graduating senior who is a resident of Polk County. The Mena Polk County Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship fund was established to offer educational opportunities to deserving students. The goal of the scholarship fund is to promote and provide access to post-secondary education for our area students helping them to achieve their goals. This objective not only helps the student but the community at large. Executive Assistant Are you creative, organized, and skilled in social media? The Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a part-time Executive Assistant to join our team! We have been beyond blessed to have Hailey Emerson as our Executive Assistant these past few months. She has gone above and beyond and has shown wisdom beyond her years in assisting us with the running of the Chamber. We are very sorry to see her go, but we are extremely proud of where she is going. We know she is going to do great things! So, with Hailey preparing to leave for college, we are seeking a dynamic individual to fill this position. If you have a strong work ethic, social media expertise, and design skills in Canva, we want to hear from you! Knowledge of Wix or Constant Contact is a plus but not required. The Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting entries for the Positively Polk Photo & Video Contest. We are accepting photos or videos that represent the Mena and Polk County areas. The winner of the photo contest and the winner of the video contest will each receive a $50 Gift Card. All photos and videos will be considered for use on our website, social media accounts, published materials, and other Chamber promotions. MPCCC reserves the right to use all photo and video entries. There is no limit to pictures or videos you can submit. We welcome landscape shots, people, and images that portray our community. Please submit only local shots in and around the Polk County area. We are looking for material that captures the beauty of our community. We will accept all nature, travel, or individual material depicting events, objects, or activities connecting to the Polk County area. We love receiving entries of people that represent our community. However, if you are entering photographs or videos of people, you are responsible for getting their written approval to be in the photos and videos. To submit your entries: Fill out the form located on this page. Upload a high resolution photo (preferably 300 dpi) or video, include your name in the file name. (Files must be under 100 MB or they will have to be emailed.) Then click submit.
