I am 3 years old and weigh 30 lbs. I love to be with other dogs, cats, and kids. I'm leash trained. I am not house trained, but it's not my fault, I have an old injury, (more about that later). I love the outdoors, and would love to hike, garden, or go for a run with you. I am spayed, and ready to go home with you. My adoption fee is $ 80.00. Come to the shelter to meet me today! Hankie is special needs and will need to wear doggie diapers or be kept on a schedule. All animals at HSO are current on their vaccinations and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. If not already spayed/neutered, there may be a short delay between when you select this pet and when they are ready to go home. Breed and age are determined based on observable physical traits. Actual lineage and birth date are rarely known. The Coffee Vault, LLC, located at 5607 Highway 71 South in Cove, Arkansas, was purchased by Deedee Alston in May 2022. Deedee was inspired to purchase the already existing business from her love of the south Polk County area and her deep roots in the local community. Deedee, like most of us, loves coffee and the idea of being able to have fresh produce in a rural area, that’s why she will be adding the addition of a fresh market to the Coffee Vault. Currently, the Coffee Vault employs ten local individuals, including a full-time manager. The Coffee Vault has a wide variety of coffee and seasonal drinks, along with a full breakfast and lunch menu. In addition to an all-day menu of breakfast and lunch, the Coffee Vault has a bakery case as well. The Coffee Vault is well-known for their excellent coffee, sourced from a roastery that roasts coffee for some of the most recognizable specialty coffee brands in the country. They are also know for their freshly made cinnamon rolls. The staff at the Coffee Vault is here to serve the community and have made their location accessible for many types of visitors. They have trailer/ATV parking, a convenient drive-thru, and are currently expanding their seating capacity. If you have furry friends who travel with you often, do not hesitate to visit the Coffee Vault. They are expanding their outdoor seating and building a dog park. Big Fork Mall Big Fork Mall is one of the Mena/Polk County Chamber of Commerce’s newest members. Owned and operated by Cheryl Edwards, Big Fork Mall is a small-town convenience store offering great customer service and a variety of items. They offer gas, diesel, gifts, and more, with a restaurant coming soon. Edwards would like for the community to know that they are hoping to keep the "mom and pop" country store feel to offer Polk County residents, along with visitors, a fun place to stop, shop and soon enjoy a café-style meal. Big Fork Mall is located at 5988 AR-8 East, Mena, AR 71953. Their store hours are 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday and Sundays 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Give them a visit. Check out the Elementary Easter EggStravaganza Arts Display Winners. Winners of the Elementary Easter Egg Coloring Contest show off their posters made from their egg sheets along with their chocolate Easter bunny! This was a great activity hosted by Mena Downtown Partners. Original coloring sheets of many of the students have been on display in downtown business windows, so please check out the talent of our local elementary students. (Not pictured is Lilly Jackson)

Country Express Country Express of Mena, located at 1146 HWY 71 South, is a convenience store that has been in operation since 1990, with new ownership as of 2021. Offerings at Country Express include typical convenience store items such as candy and snacks, fuel stations, and a full-service hot deli with excellent barbecue. The new owners of Country Express would like to continue to offer great customer service along with quality products and great food. Although new owners may have purchased the long-time business, you’ll no doubt continue to see familiar faces among the staff. Tuny Hunt leads the staff and will continue the customer service that makes Country Express so special.
